Carnegie Art and Natural History Museums

At some point early on in my visit to these museums, one of the many octogenarian guards told me "no pictures." I still took a few more if only for the thrill of possibly getting caught. I've put some of the ones with less serious copyright-type issues here. Naturally, I have forgotten almost all details about what exactly the objects I photographed were, leaving me no recourse but to refer to them as "thingies."

An African ritual thingie with lots of nails and blades driven into it. Strangely enough, he looks really pissed. I love this picture.
A really cool-looking brass-type plate thingie. I had to take this picture from an odd angle in order to avoid being seen by the guards.
Some sort of mastodon-type thingie.
A bust-type thingie of Zeus. Zeuuuuuuuuuuus.
A plaster model of some sort of door-type thingie. It is huge.
Some other sort of architectural thingie.
Yet other architectural thingie.
I don't remember what the hell this thingie was, but it sure is cute. Pot-bellied bison, anyone?
A very blurry polar bear.
A very blurry suit of armor.
